Campus on Mediterranean Diet in Cagliari: a “tasty” European Cooperation Day

Cooking demonstrations, tasting workshops and educational activities are the main ingredients of the campus on Mediterranean Diet, which will take place in Cagliari on 28th September. The event organised by the MedDiet strategic project in collaboration with the Joint Managing Authority is dedicated to 75 school children who will have the opportunity to discover in an entertaining way the benefits of a healthy and well-balanced diet. Four chefs from Egypt, Italy, Lebanon and Tunisia will highlight the Mediterranean gastronomic culture while writing and photography laboratories will allow 50 food bloggers to share and reinforce their experience in enhancing the Mediterranean Diet.

Moreover, the Joint Managing Authority is pleased to confirm that the photo exhibition inaugurated on 10th September at the European Parliament (Strasbourg) during the official launching of the European Cooperation Day will be displayed in Cagliari on 28th September. This exhibition aims to show the achievements of eight cooperation initiatives, included the standard project VILLAGES.

A public conference followed by a degustation of Mediterranean dishes will take place as part of the MedDiet campus starting from 12.00 p.m. If you would like to attend the event, please contact Ms. Federica Romano (+39 0577.32991.09 - romano@cittadellolio.it) and the following Programme officers: Ms. Susanna Diliberto (+39 070.606.2657 - sdiliberto@regione.sardegna.it) and Mr. Martin Heibel (+39 07.606.2482 - mheibel@regione.sardegna.it).
