Conference: The Mediterranean Sea, seaming or cutting?

The Interdisciplinary Network for planning and cohesion of European territories and their neighbouhoods (RIATE), French contact point for the European programme ESPON, in cooperation with the Inter-ministerial Delegation for the Mediterranean (DiMed), is organizing a conference under the title "The Mediterranean Sea: seaming or cutting?" on 22 October in Paris.

The objective of this conference is to analyze the framework of and obstacles to the cooperation between both rims of the Mediterranean in order to identify the tools and good practices for the actors working in the Mediterranean region.

The conference will be structured in five round-tables: Transport and Urban development; Environment and Water; Agriculture and Food security; Energy; Migration.

On this occasion the results of the European project ESPON ITAN "Integrated Territorial Analysis of the Neighbourhoods" will be presented.
