CUSTOM MED: visit to Beirut port

The last of the 5 visits to ports facilities of the Mediterranean region held under CUSTOM MED project takes place in Beirut (Lebanon) on 19th and 20th June 2013.

The visit, which involves representatives of the Lebanese Public Customs Administration and of the Beirut port authority, is focused on the analysis of the container terminal. 

The series of visits carried out by CUSTOM MED in the ports of Alicante (Spain), Genoa (Italy), Piraeus (Greece) and Aqaba (Jordan) aims to identify best practices related to the simplification of customs procedures and trade facilitation that will be then transferred to customs officials and port authorities agents.
