GMI: tender for the supply of Reverse Vending Machines to be launched soon

The "Green Med Initiative" (GMI) strategic project has published a prior information notice for the supply and delivery of around 180 Reverse Vending Machines, related online management software and e-Platform as well as spare parts and consumables.

According to the notice availlable in the EU Tenders Electronic Daily, the award procedure is expected beginning of January 2014. Interested tenderers are invited to consult the GMI project website or to contact Ms. Diana Kobayter (projects@ccib.org, +961 1 353 390).

The installation of Reverse Vending Machines in schools and universities of the Mediterranean area is one of the core activities of GMI project in order to foster recycling practices among young people. These machines will be used to collect empty PET bottles and aluminum cans and in return recyclers will get points to redeem online . Thanks to the management software and e-Platform, users of Reverse Vending Machines will be able to share their recycling activities on social media.
