JOUSSOUR: series of 12 documentaries on environmental sustainability to be presented at project final press conference

The JOUSSOUR project, cross-border TV coproduction funded under the first call for proposals and aimed at reporting on a sustainable Mediterranean, officially comes to an end.

The project results, as well as the images of the produced documentaries, will be presented on the occasion of the press conference to be held on Thursday 28 November 2013, at 9.30 a.m at RAI-Radiotelevisione Italiana (Viale Mazzini 14, Rome). 

The series, conceived for TV and for the web, is composed of 12 documentaries of 9 minutes each, realized by young directors of different nationalities and devoted to environmental challenges in the Mediterranean basin such as sustainable tourism, renewable energies, biodiversity, water resources, waste recycling, biological agriculture and green economy.

Nine public broadcasters contributed to the achievement of this multicultural initiative - CYBC/Cyprus, ERTU/Egypt, FR3/Corse ViaStella/France, JRTV/Jordan, PBC/Palestine, RAI/Italy, RTVE/Spain, Télévision Tunisienne (Tunisia) - coordinated by the Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators (COPEAM) in partnership with:

• ASBU - Arab States Broadcasting Union (Tunisia)
• PBS - Public Broadcasting Services Ltd (Malta)
• RAI-Radiotelevisione Italiana / Rai Educational (Italy)
• EBU - European Broadcasting Union (associate)

The coproduction, available in Arabic, Italian and English, is currently being broadcasted on "TVM2" (Malta) and "LA2/TVE" (Spain) TV channels according to the following schedule:
