'Let’s build Europe' : the Programme represents Italy at exhibition on EU-funded initiatives

The ENPI CBC Med Programme is currently participating in 'Construimos Europa' (Let’s build Europe), a photo exhibition taking place in Torrejón de Ardoz, as part of the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of Spain’s accession to the European Union.

The exhibition aims to illustrate to the public a selection of initiatives supported by the EU through 46 large panels which contains detailed information on results achieved by European projects in different fields, including research, culture, education, environment.

The Programme was selected by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy in Madrid to represent Italy for the whole duration of exhibition. The panel dedicate to the Prgramme depicts RUWOMED, a project which focuses on economic empowerment of women in Lebanon and Palestine through income-generating activities in the agri-food sector.

The exhibition was inaugurated on 3rd February in the presence of  representatives of Embassies, local institutions and school kids. "The ENPI CBC Med panel has generated much interest among visitors of the exhibition and was highlighted by the representative of the Community of Madrid in his speech as an example of cooperation between the EU and Partner countries, which contributes to build Europe outside its natural borders," said Gaia Danese, press and culture Counselor of the Italian Embassy in Spain. 

The exposition will stay for three months at Parque Europa de Torrejón de Ardoz, before moving to other cities of the Community of Madrid. Entrance is free.
