Restarting from the South: the SUSTEXNET project organises event on competitiveness and sustainability of the Mediterranean textile industry

The SUSTEXNET project is organizing an event to discuss sustainability, competitiveness and innovation in the textile industry as a way to improve cooperation networks in the Mediterranean area.

Against the Asian competition, the Mediterranean textile industry continues to produce an annual turnover of roughly €210 billion and to employ a total workforce of 2.3 million people.

The event, to take place on 28th July in Serragiumenta Castle (Italy), will look at concrete actions carried out by the SUSTEXTNET project in Egypt, Italy, Spain and Tunisia to build a better cooperation among the actors of the textile industry in order to reinforce competiveness but also environmental sustainability.
