Sustainable management of tourist ports in the Mediterranean: the MAPMED project holds final conference in Tunisia

The final conference of the MAPMED project ("Management of Port areas in the Mediterranean Sea Basin") will take place on 13 and 14 October in El Kantaoui, Tunisia.

The event will focus on the results achieved by the project with regard to monitoring and reduction of marine pollution in coastal areas of the Mediterranean Basin. In particular, partners from Italy, Greece, Tunisia, and Egypt will showcase the tools designed for the eco-efficient remediation of contaminated water and sediments of tourist ports.

The conference is part of the efforts of MAPMED project to transfer good practices to local institutions and concerned authorities and policies in order to contribute to a more sustainable management of tourist ports.
