Brief description of the project: The Mediterranean basin countries share, given its geographical proximity and climate, a number of behaviors and socio-cultural traditions. These behaviors result into analogue consumption patterns, especially in relation to housing. Making a study on consumer behavior and lifestyles, related to the consumption in the housing sector (furniture, lighting, home textile and related industries), will identify business opportunities and improve local adaptation of the companies exporting in these sectors. To cover such an ambitious goal, the project will consist of several phases: § Phase 1: market research on consumer needs and behaviours in the participating countries of the Mediterranean basin. § Phase 2: identifying opportunities. § Phase 3 study of tools and ways of negotiation in different countries § Phase 4: Dissemination of results in multilateral meetings
