Thematic objective: A.1 Business and SMEs development
Priority: Priority A.1.1 Support innovative start-ups and recently established enterprises, with a particular focus on young and women entrepreneurs, and facilitate the protection of their intellectual property rights and commercialisation where applicable
Brief description of the project: To establish a multi-stakeholder tool to strengthen transnational and collaborative networking among scientific and business aquaculture groups of research and innovation on Aquaculture in the Mediterranean area.
Main objectives – issues to be addressed: The main objectives of the project are: • Detect and share best practices in the sector to assure the sustainability in the long term of this activity • Create new links and networks among Mediterranean companies in the whole value chain of aquaculture • Boosting the aquaculture companies which are bringing innovative ideas
Expected results: Mediterranean SMEs participating in Euro-Mediterranean enterprise alliances. Newly established business alliances in traditional and non-traditional sectors (at local and international level). New products and services sold on domestic and foreign markets. Enterprises substantially and actively involved in CBC-MED projects satisfied with consultancy services and making requests for follow-up (ENI CBC 2)
Partners already involved: Aquaculture associations in Spain & Italy. UNiversities, chambers if commerce & research institutes in Egypt, Israel, Tunisia & Lebanon
Partners searched: Chambers of commerce, public authorities, consultancies, economic operators and structures, aquaculture cluster associations, Universities and Research Structures in the Aquaculture sector, specially in Jordan & Palestine, but also in Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon and Tunisia
