Priority: Priority B.4.4 Incorporate the Ecosystem-Based management approach to ICZM into local development planning, through the improvement of intra-territorial coordination among different stakeholders
Brief description of the project: Promote the integrated management of environmental risk in Mediterranean coastal areas focusing on extreme weather event impact on society
Main objectives – issues to be addressed: Share best practices, prevention, reduction and adaption measure for integrated coastal risk management. Share meteorological and hydrological models and develop new ones in flood and drought monitoring, in accounting for climate change scenarios.
Expected results: Share of models, practices and equipment for extreme weather event management in coastal areas; definition of a common platform tailored to support the specific needs in the field of natural risk management; common Web-GIS for extreme weather event management; definition of an hystorical data set for climate change scenarious analysis in Mediterranean coastal areas.
