Brief description of the project: Microalgal growth, lipid content and composition vary according to culture conditions such as nitrogen concentration, light and trophic regimes. Therefore, this project aimed to optimize the growth factors and lipid yield for Botryococcus braunii, Chlorella salina and other available species in Egypt and optimize conditions for biodiesel production from their lipids.
Main objectives – issues to be addressed: develop new technology - develop new business cases - produce renewable biodiesel and clean energy - disseminate results.
