Smart MENA Entrepreneurs (SMEs)

Priority: Priority A.3.1 Provide young people, especially those belonging to the NEETS, and women, with marketable skills
Brief description of the project: This project aims to provide first-time entrepreneurs of youth and women; especially those belonging to NEETs with modern technological skills for the purpose of improving their competences and opportunities in the market. It aims to spread the spirit of self-employment for youth who are belonging to NEETs and women of all ages. Furthermore, the project activities will also consider youth with disabilities and refugees regardless of their origin. In addition to the elementary entrepreneurship skills, the activities that will be implemented in this project will focus on modern technology, in which target groups can cross the boards by developing smart SMEs based on internet and modern technology. In order to achieve our objectives, a consortium from Mediterranean countries needs to be assembled in order to create a network that serve the need of: exchanging experience, ideas, technological innovations, and developing international mentoring networks.
Main objectives – issues to be addressed: 1)Promoting economic reform that expands opportunity for target groups. 2)Fostering innovation and providing trainers the necessary knowledge and skills to start up their own business partnerships, utilize ICT to optimize business operations, and to market their own products. 3)Promoting technical and vocational education and training at international level using smart technology. 4)Promoting the fundraising skills and globalization of business through smart technology.
Expected results: 1)Surveying the business and labor markets of participating countries (Market Analysis). 2)Developing business proposals by each participant or by each of group participants. 3)Increasing the entrepreneurship skills, technological skills, and employability of each participant. 4)Developing dedicated modules for modern technology and data analysis for startup businesses. 5)Developing connections among entrepreneurs, local, and international industries.
