Brief description of the project: The Mediterranean area is home to a great variety of timber and the wood sector is for sure a well-established area of work across both sides of the Basin. Wood products use in the construction sector is currently the only market segment for which demand is rising steadily despite the sector's crisis across Europe. As a consequence, new wood products and new wood transformation process are now available in EU countries. The project will develop an alliance of wood enterprises in Mediterranean area through the collaboration of Wood Entrepreneurs association that will supply training innovation on new technologies, services to support internationalization of SME and construction of a business network, ICT application, international events.
Objectifs principaux – problèmes à traiter: Spread innovation in Wood sector in Italy, Tunisia, Lebanon, Maroc, Greece, France. Upgrade of Sme's Wood sector with services support. Promote wood products as an assett of Sme's development
Résultats attendus: - Creation of alliance in Med area, to support SME's in wood sector. - One international event for each Med Countries to involved wood local companies and present innovative solution produced in area countries. - active participation of the Sme of the territory to international clusters of the company in the wood sector. - spread of innovative wood products and wood transformation process in Med Area - growing of quality certification - creation of a wood Med label
