Euro-Med CCI (working Title)

Brief description of the project: Capitalizing US$ 2,250b and 30 million jobs worldwide, the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) are major drivers of the economies of developed and developing countries and are among the most rapidly growing sectors worldwide (Ernst & Young 2015). During the last decades, CCI grows much faster than other sectors, generates 3% of total employment and accounts for 3.3% of the EU GDP. Also, in the time of crisis, employment in the sector proved to be more resilient that the rest of the economy. Today Europe is the second largest CCI market worldwide and Africa and Middle East ranks fifth, but the CCI players in the region have great development opportunities. The basic idea of the proposed project is the enhancement and the capacity improvement of the Creative Industries Innovation potential in the participating countries and the establishment of permanent and concrete synergies through on-line and physical Networking Platforms of cooperation.
Objectifs principaux – problèmes à traiter: (1) To raise the competitiveness of CCI sector in the areas involved and to turn it into a leading economic actor. // (2) To support the creative SMEs and Individuals in adopting new entrepreneur models and sharing good practices and business services through international networking activities. // (3) To develop an Interactive Cooperation Platform for the creative stakeholders and players of the Mediterranean countries in order to enhance creative synergies and international cooperation.

Partners already involved: A Higher Educational Institute from GREECE and a CCI Association from LEBANON are already involved.
Partenaires recherchés: Looking for: Organisations (public or private) having vast experience in Culture & Creative Sector, Chambers, Local/Regional Authorities, Universities, Research Centres, Associations / Organisations working on Innovation. Two (2) partners from: Italy, Malta, Cyprus, Spain or France and Three (3) partners from: Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine, Tunisia, Israel.
