An IT decision platform for improving CRISis MAnagement in Mediterranean region (I-CRISMA)

Brief description of the project: Recently the Mediterranean countries are facing urgent crises such as income inequality, unemployment, over-population, insufficient infrastructure and slow ICT-based development In addition to natural disasters. Couples of fundamental factors that preserve this problematic situation the gap between the donors and the in need of relief areas as well as the lack of technology experience and know how in managing the crisis. Critical infrastructure recovery will be considered with priority, as essential for the recovery of social and economic aspects roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, plants, etc. using the I-CRISMA platform which will integrate and support the procedures of the Damage and Loss Assessment (DaLA) Methodology and Manage tasks by using a pre-defined overview of all required tasks.
Objectifs principaux – problèmes à traiter: I-CRISMA vision is to study and to develop next generation post-crisis needs assessment platform by: 1) Support damage and contamination assessment, monitoring and updating. 2) Boost information sharing between relief organizations and their information systems for needs assessment. 3) Support prioritization and joint decision making with a novel tool, based on recently developed decision support methodology. 4) Centralize management information of running recovery projects with finance.
Résultats attendus: (a) The efficient blending of interactive and collaborative tools and applications; (b) The deployment of post-crisis needs management technologies for location-based recovery services spanning around all Mediterranean countries; (c) The exploitation of multiple distributed information sources/repositories, the vast reserve of public sector; (e) The use of advanced, social and collaborative software, to facilitate interaction and communication among different groups of beneficiaries
