Brief description of the project: The integrated project aims to contribute to the socio-economic development process through the implementation of actions aimed at the restoration and enhancement of specific local produce (especially in traditional crafts and traditional) and promote the integration of manufacturing systems between the two shores. The recovery and development of traditional knowledge is not only considered element for the maintenance of cultural identity, but also a strategic tool for the development of specific areas for intervention. Traditional crafts in the Mediterranean plays an important role in the country, but its development possibilities are limited corporate dall'assetto often poorly organized, or the lack of product innovation and process. Added to this is the loss of knowledge and skills necessary for the maintenance of high quality standards, resulting in difficulty to meet the demands of the European and international market.
Main objectives – issues to be addressed: Support the regional system Mediterranean to build on his best skills and abilities so that the Europe-Mediterranean system increases its competitiveness through: strengthening the partnership between the Italian regions, the partnership with central and local authorities of the two areas reference in view of promoting a long-term partnership; the largest animation and greater involvement of active technical subjects on the regional territories.
