Priority: Priority B.4.4 Incorporate the Ecosystem-Based management approach to ICZM into local development planning, through the improvement of intra-territorial coordination among different stakeholders
Brief description of the project: Pursuing the goal of river contract, a local effective measure to recover, improve and preserve a river through concerted initiatives of all public administrations, water management services, companies, associations and all other organized territorial actors, the project aims to promote the river contract’s idea in an international context, involving partners who are interested in improving and safeguarding waterways and coasts, extending the ICZM experience also to the river system.
Main objectives – issues to be addressed: Capacity building
Expected results: improvement of the management of watercourses and coasts; enhanced collaboration between public and private bodies; pilot project to improve a watercourse.

Partners searched: Egypt, Cyprus, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, Palestine, Tunisia
