BLENDED PLATFORM FOR ENHANCING ACCESS TO TVET SECTOR

Brève description du projet : The South Mediterranean countries suffers a gap between TVET graduates’ qualifications and the market needs because of insufficient vocational education and non-existence of employability skills. As a case, the Palestinian society still prefers traditional academic education to TVET and there are fewer TVET graduates than the market needs. One main reason for low access to TVET is the high cost of delivering vocational education. This project aims to enhance access to, and improve the quality of, the TVET sector in South Mediterranean countries in order to equip students with the best practices in the area of vocational education as required by market needs. This will be achieve through Building E-TVET blended learning system through developing E-learning platform for some important but costly vocational programs. The platform will help in providing computerized simulation environment for a set of professions that can help in qualifying students by skills.
Objectifs principaux – problèmes à traiter: Building E-TVET blended learning system through developing E-learning platform for some important but costly vocational programs. Improving the quality of the targeted TVET programs by using the computerized simulation environment and developed infrastructure that will make available the required qualifications for entering TVET. Building the capacity of the TVET staff in using the E-learning tools. Raising awareness of the importance of the TVET and promoting the attractiveness of TVET.
Résultats attendus: A set of computerized E-TVET programs simulation. An infrastructure and simulation environment for the targeted programs that ensure the quality of programs. A group of TVET teachers trained for the use of E-TVET system. Project portal that would keep materials and modules for a long time after the end of the project. A number of online learning modules adaptable to TVET programs. A new generation of vocational students who are more simulation–oriented than any previous generation.
