Brève description du projet : Main objective of this program is to address the local management policy of several coastal resorts, towards an environmental sustainability process. The award is given to coastal locations that meet certain quality criteria related to parameters of bathing water and the service offered, considering the cleanliness of the beaches and marinas. Great importance also play a proper land management, environmental education and the promotion of sustainable tourism. The confirmation of the value of land has led to consider strategic and innovative the idea of creating a network with qualified Blue Flag Territories (hence the project name "Blue Flags Networks"), as the strengthening of a unit design of tourism and environment that can also be compatible with the offering / product related to the commercial resources available on the market street (structure, activities and public and private operators existing and operating in the area).
Objectifs principaux – problèmes à traiter: The goal is to promote and monitor the implementation of a sustainable integrated management model of the tourist areas of the municipalities that have obtained a "Blue Flag", putting in network companies operating in agribusiness, food and wine, tourism and culture.
Résultats attendus: The Mediterranean coastal area has long lived a deep contrast due to contemporary needs for economic growth on the one hand, and to safeguard the needs of the other delicate environmental balance. In this logic we must deal with the problematic relationship between commercial activities related to the economy of urban coastal areas and the territory as a resource.
