Brève description du projet : The main objective of the project is to promote a network of food and wine routes and related products, recognizing the fundamental role of the agricultural and cultural traditions of the Mediterranean partners involved. Starting from identifying flagships products registered in the European Quality Schemes, ad hoc integrated-touristic itineraries will be identified through the establishment of “Agro Tour Centres” which will provide information to each market strand regarding the project participating areas. The Food culture tours, facilitated by the operation of the ATC,will promote the local production of HQ products and the organized visits to local production facilities. The project seeks to attain a critical mass of supply represented by the system of “Mediterranean Agro Tourism "to promote incoming flows of rural tourism in partner territories in a joint manner, enabling them to adopt a common marketing strategy designed to carve out a recognizable profile in the global market.
Objectifs principaux – problèmes à traiter: - Identification and promotion of agro-tourist capacity for each tourist region - Diversification and reduction of the seasonality of the sector - Sustainability of the local economy and creation of nonseasonal jobs
Résultats attendus: - Creation of Agro Tour Centers, in the long run self-financed - Creation of a permanent network involving the main stakeholders in the Tourism sector and the local producers - Design and implementation of common communication strategies, marketing
