Brève description du projet : The project will aims at cluster reinforcement, integration and cooperation to improve SMEs access to innovation. To this end, the project is structured in two steps: 1- Devise and implement a process to reinforce the scientific representation of the clusters, promoting the membership and securing the involvement of more universities, technological centers and knowledge entities. 2- Gather clusters from Mediterranean countries that work on the same value chains (but each cluster in their own country), and set up meta-cluster structures for them, starting a process of cluster integration in the Mediterranean. The consortium will devise and implement a new methodology for cluster collaboration to create these meta-clusters, trying a new approach to be implemented as a new standard on how these entities interact with each other. The project contemplates to set up a pilot in which one of these meta-clusters will be created by implementing the aforementioned two-step strategy.
Objectifs principaux – problèmes à traiter: The main objectives to be addressed are to improve SMEs access to innovation and research in the Mediterranean and generate a wide array of new opportunities for clustered SMEs, all through cluster reinforcement and integration.
