Priorité: Priorité A.1.2 Renforcer et soutenir les réseaux, chaînes de valeur, groupements (clusters) et consortiums euro-méditerranéens dans les secteurs traditionnels et non traditionnels
Brève description du projet : In general textiles represent a long MED tradition, in the last 20 years’ trade between the MED countries and the European Union has been dominated by textiles and clothing. In order to enhance the competitiveness of the textile and clothing sector in the wider MED Region, the priority should be the creation of synergies between operators on both sides of the MED basin which would lead to the establishment of durable cross-border partnerships of textile/clothing SMEs and Micro SMEs. MEDTEXTILE concentrates at the principle level to strengthen the above and foster the establishment of a cross-border partnership based on the development of an innovative business model. The project will carry out a targeted SWOT analysis of the textile and clothing sector in the MED Region and then on the basis of this analysis and the identified European best practices the MEDTEXTILE business model for MED fashion SMEs/MSMEs will be developed and tested within the framework of pilot actions.
Objectifs principaux – problèmes à traiter: -To foster the dialogue on strategies to promote the competitiveness of the textile/clothing sector in the MED area -To encourage/facilitate the exchange of experiences/good practices between fashion SMEs/MSMEs -To identify approaches to develop joint strategies for cross border partnerships of fashion SMEs/MSMEs -To provide a platform for information on current initiatives and existing instruments in the MED area -To encourage regional and sub-regional cooperation efforts
Résultats attendus: - Durable Cross-border Partnership of fashion SMEs and MSMEs from Mediterranean and Mediterranean Partner Countries - Enhanced competitiveness of the Mediterranean textile/clothing sector through the application of the innovative MEDTEXTILE business model - Increased income of the Mediterranean fashion SMEs and MSMEs from increased sailings through cross-border cooperation - Generation of jobs as a consequence of the economically enhanced Mediterranean fashion SMEs and MSMEs
