Reviving Mediterranean Overlooked Cultural Heritage - RMOCH

Brève description du projet : All over the Mediterranean there are those forgotten gems that although their significant cultural values,they have-for one reason or another-failed to grab the attention of stakeholders from local authorities,private sector actors,governmental representatives,private/public investors,etc.The project tend to shade the light on number of cultural heritage sites (Archeological sites,Historical buildings or districts,etc. Three significant but now diminished sites from the Mediterranean region are to be addressed,two from the south and one from the north.Conservational plans,rehabilitation and reuses projects as well as digital scanning are all among the result of these researchers Unlike many pervious initiatives,this project tends to endure the outcomes of this research through commercializing it’s results in a way that guarantees sustainable linkage between the project’s stake holders from one side and reviving the cultural heritage site from the other.
Objectifs principaux – problèmes à traiter: Create a network of potential beneficiaries in fields of research,industrial,private/governmental investment sectors. Direct benefits of modern technologies in field of preserving as well as reviving of cultural heritage
Résultats attendus: The project’s components include three phases: documentation, restoration and transforming the site to a spot of attraction and open it for visits.The first phase concerned with the digital survey of sites using modern technologies. 3D scanning is a prerequisite for the restoration of the site, which is the second phase. The final phase will apply local authorities standards and regulations for opening such sites for visits, including commercial and investment activities.
