Brève description du projet : Overall: to build truly smarter transportation systems through integrating digital technology with physical infrastructure. Smart Transportation strategic approach will address 5 strategic imperatives in parallel: 1- Predict demand and optimize capacity, assets and infrastructure. 2- Improve the end-to-end experience for travellers and freight customers 3- Increase operational efficiency while reducing environmental impact. 4- Assure safety and security. 5- Pure battery electric vehicles (BEVs) This action focuses on gathering real-time information from Global Positioning System devices in government cars, expanded to public transportation buses, delivery trucks, traffic sensors, transit systems, pollution monitors and weather information. The data will be processed using streaming analytics software, giving city managers, travellers and freight customers' real-time information on traffic flow, public parking Areas, travel times and best commuting options.
Objectifs principaux – problèmes à traiter: Overall: to build truly smarter transportation systems through integrating digital technology with physical infrastructure.
Résultats attendus: Specific: to reduce downtown traffic by 18 %, and reduce CO2 emissions by 20 % in the city centre, and increase public transportation ridership by 10.000 passengers per day, using green cars.
