Ce livre présente un site archéologique d’une grande importance aussi peu connu au Liban qu’à l’international. Il s’agit de la grotte-forteresse connue au Liban sous le nom de Chqif
Tayroun et située dans le village de Niha dans le Shouf libanais.
Le but de ce livre est de faire la lumière sur ce monument singulier à travers les sources médiévales occidentales et locales, les écrits des historiens modernes ainsi qu’une étude
archéologique et architecturale.
